We are a volunteer led group of radical feminists who have come together to fight for women and girls throughout the North of England. We work with similar minded groups and organisations to increase our effectiveness and to increase awareness about the issues still impacting on women and girls in the 21st century.
What do we stand for or fight against?
To Protect the Rights of Women & Girls
It’s hard to believe that in the 21st century, women and girls are once more having to stand up for, fight for and protect the rights that we have worked the last 150 years to achieve, but here we are. Modern day suffragettes are needed now, more than ever before.
Stand against Violence toward Women & Girls
Every week in the UK, 2 to 3 women are killed by a male known to them, perhaps a partner, family member or friend. At the same time, over 96% of rapes are not taken to trial and around 98% of women and girls have experienced some form of sexual assault.
Stand up for Lesbians, Gay men and Bisexuals
In the era that allows same-sex marriage and Civil Partnerships for LGB people, you may think there is nothing left for us to fight for. However, with the arrival of the T to the end of the LGB in 2015, same-sex attraction is now classed as transphobic.
Stand against the Transition of Children
No child is EVER born in the wrong body, and the current use of simply affirming a child as being Trans, rather than allowing gentle probing of the reasons that might make a child feel that way, are making the transitioning of children akin to gay conversion therapy.
Stand against sex work as work
We object to the idea that sex work is simply work. If sex work was a career, it wouldn’t be that women need to be trafficked in to the work, unlike solicitors and accountants. It is most likely economic or drug addictions that sees women making that choice.
Stand for Debate and against Cancel Culture
Debate has always been considered a healthy way to discuss issues were more than one side existed in relation to any given subject. In more recent times, were another persons opinion differs to yours, cancellation of that person is opted for.
